Fiber-Like Reinforcing Material for Plastics and Rubber
Our Gypsum Whisker is a white crystalline functional material with calcium sulfate as its main component.
Customers use this material as a reinforcing additive in plastics, rubber, and composite materials. Unlike ordinary powder fillers, it has a fiber-like crystal structure that helps improve mechanical strength and dimensional stability.
Our product is more than a basic filler for cost reduction. It is a functional reinforcement material designed to enhance the performance of composite systems.
Our product contains more than 93% calcium sulfate. The whiteness reaches above 94%. The whisker length is not less than 135 micrometers, and the aspect ratio is not less than 11.
The moisture content remains below 1%, crystallinity reaches above 90.5%, and the suspension pH value ranges from 6.5 to 7.5.
We can adjust whisker length and aspect ratio through process control to meet different application requirements.
Our factory operates a complete production line with an annual capacity of 3,600 tons, equal to approximately 300 tons per month.
Our R&D team continuously optimizes crystal growth conditions by controlling temperature, supersaturation, and additives. These processes help produce whiskers with stable morphology, high aspect ratio, and good crystallinity.
Application as Glass Fiber Alternative
Customers often ask whether this material can be used as an alternative to glass fiber. In some applications, it can provide reinforcement performance similar to traditional reinforcing fillers while offering advantages in cost and processing.
It also provides good dispersibility and processing flowability. Compared with some traditional fiber materials, it may help reduce dust generation during mixing processes.
